She Leads is a continent-wide YANGG initiative that spotlights, trains, and connects young African women who are ready to lead in their communities. Anchored in Pan-African solidarity and the Sustainable Development Goals, the project pairs leadership workshops with mentorship from YANGG coordinators and partners.

Why She Leads

Across our 16 member nations, young African women are leading change every day — often without the recognition, mentorship, or resources their male peers receive. She Leads exists to close that gap and make it visible: to invest in the women shaping Africa now, and to make sure their leadership is seen, heard, and resourced.

What participants experience

  • Leadership workshops led by YANGG coordinators and partners
  • Mentorship from women leaders across Africa and the diaspora
  • Advocacy training rooted in the Sustainable Development Goals
  • A community-led action project in their own city or region
  • A pan-African cohort of peers for life

Looking ahead

She Leads continues to expand each year. As more nations join YANGG, more young women step into leadership — and the network around them grows stronger. If you want to lead, support, or partner with She Leads, write to us at info@yangg.org.
